My initial interest in Chess came from a story of a young boy who consistently beat grown men, one on  one and simultaneously, at a game mastered only by geniuses.  I was in awe as my sixth grade teacher told me this story to make a point that no matter how young you are, or think you are, you can still make a change.  Though his political views and hatred for the United States, which I believe was instigated by the bullshit of politics, caused much contoversy he single-handedly put Chess on map.
