Do I Need a New Openings Book???

MCO-15 useage? - 2008/05/05 06:40 does anyone here use the mco series books on a regular basis...and do they really help? i just bought the new one from amazon for 20.00 usd. i have had one in the past, but it disappeared on me...go fig. i also have a book by larry evans-the advantage for white and black...which ironically is missing as well. i have been playing out some of the moves in the book, but sometimes the computer transposes and they are not in the book and this erks me sometimes... i end up having to use the o.b. in chessmaster's reference to find it. i like using the book and will go either to target or office depot to get some page markers to tab the sections i like most so i won't have to go thumbing through it like mad! i hear it's the most used book for openings, yet i don't see it much in anyones hands..most curious. anyway...curious on your thoughts...shoot away! thx!
