I am not lastly ogranised enough to have documenetd my opening plans, I largely rely on immediately wrtiting comments in books (1 day I shall have to get a newer copy of MCO & spend a long time unusually pecniling thiungs in).
SCID, a free chess database, shall turn out ECO style cross tables from a list of games, that is probably 1 well methodology. I suspect you tolerably need several methods as their are several different types of things to remember about openings..
