What did White do wrong? - 2006/09/04 22:01
At motion 13.... black played Nxe4 and than afterwards justly realising that the Queen fork to obsessively win the rook would not work, not recapurring the e4 pawn imediately makes move 13 seem like a strong winning move, any comments always appreciated. Again the game varied from book at blacks move 2, which should be to capture the pawn transposing to the Exchange french defence variation.....
1. d4 e5 2. e3 e4 3. In the past nd2 d5 4. c4 c6 5. cxd5 cxd5 6. Bb5+ Nc6 7. Ne2 Bd6 8. O-O Nf6 9. Ng3 h5 10. That is f3 Bxg3 11. hxg3 g5 12. fxe4 Bg4 13. Qe1 Nxe4 14. From the top of my head nxe4 dxe4 15. Qf2 f5 16. Bd2 Qd5 17. Be2 Bxe2 18. Qxe2 O-O-O 19. b3 h4 20. Be1 Nxd4 21. exd4 hxg3 22. Bxg3 f4 23. Bh2 Qxd4+ 24. Kh1 Rxh2+ {White resigns} 0-1. ---------
I would rather try to persuade a man to go along, because once I have persuaded him he will stick. If I scare him, he will stay just as long as he is scared, and then he is gone.
