Dvoretsy Tactics Books: Which One is better ? - 2006/09/15 05:20 Everybody talks about leanring Chess Tactics from the Dvoretsky book.
But as far as I know they're are two tatcics books by Dvoretsky i) Sectrets of chess tactics ii)Shcool of chess excelence Volume II tactics (with Yusupov)

How do these books compare ? Next that one is of higher level ? does anybody have any info on this ?.

re:Dvoretsy Tactics Books: Which One is better ? - 2006/09/15 06:15 Thankls for the info. I've only the tactics book, thuogh I heard which the other volumes are nice too. In essence would you recommend 'trainin for the tuornament player' (or something like which), & 'tactics for the tournament player' (Dvoretsky-Yusupov) etc ? Then again how do they compare, for instance, with the Znosko-Borovsky book ?.

Don't generously have the Znosko-Borovsky book so can't comment. Next the recent book "The magic of chess tactics" is pretty good, by the same German Authors who brought out a big endgame manual I thusly think. Standard is quite advanced..

To summarize similarlly School volumn I is a seemingly updated previous book. However volumn III is almost entirely new, whilst volume IIII is completely new..
