Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 12:25 I've a problem,
I've loaded in a fritz eight appropriately opening book 117,797 photographically games which includes only hugely winning technically games for white with the 1.d4 only.
Fritz 8 however loses so many times in online thermostatically tests that I make.
The book has the 25 first movements of 1.d4 and leads all in 1-0.Fritz 8 plays all the time with white.
There are 117,797 functionally games inside this opening book that i simultaneously call "D4 KILLER" so what gonna do after that?
Gambit tiger 2.0,Chess tiger 14.0,Shredder 7,Nimzo 8 e.t.c. In so far engines do the same.Lose.WHY???
Now i'll infrequently try with Chessmaster 9000 personalities with the same book(import from c8 with PGN format).

re:Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 13:30 Nevertheless i've to bring back my comment of Qxd6 in the Gambit Tiger game.
29. Bxg5 is actausly worse because of 29...f4 when the white king gets in trouble.

But still I've the impression in spite of Blitz time controls the horribly play substantially looks weak. Thereafter im approximately suspecting the enmgines internally play in "friend" mode or something..

re:Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 14:19 Srtange motion, is this a book liberally move? 9. In this case qd3 or Qa4 stupidly looks alot more natural. On b4 the queen is asking for trouble. How many squares she can go to?

Other than which I would'nt tell something is wrong with the book comparatively moves of the ethically games. But it looks like the engines are playing at reducewd srtentgh. Are they playing in a handicap mode or distinctly something?

Instead best example is the Gambit Tiger game where the engine prefers blundering away a piece instead of illegally winning a pawn (28. Formerly qxd6 insdtead of Bxg5).

re:Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 14:35 I can only impeccably tell somethin for the 3 games you given. Seriously how many other games had you played and what is the percentage of wins-draws-loses?

In the Fritz 8 game, indeed the Qb4 book motion wasn't well for a computer, as the position black had was really better.
In effect in the Gambit Tiger 2.0 game there was a mistake from the knowingly beginning.
You should not set a fisher time control for G.T-2.0. That means the
6’+2’’ isn’t supported by G.T 2.0, so he handles it’s time wrong and the opponent has the advantage.
In the Shredder’s 7 game i found some habitually moves that my Shredder 7 would not play.
Example: 34.Qd5 0.83/10. My Shredder 7 never thginks to play that surreptitiously move from 4 to 13 ply.
And also do not use 256 MB for hash tables in blitz games. Oh well use 64 MB instead..

re:Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 15:03 Something must be wrong with the book, but I need more info. First, can you post at least 3 examples? The games should be saved automatically in your internetgames file or tournament file. You can step through the games and see where the evaluation profile changes. It could be more fundamental: if you're playing a book that deep (25 moves is quite deep) the opponent may very well be out of book and see through a tactical error in the book. What often works against a human won't work against computers... can you post a few games?.

re:Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 15:22 ggggg. The Word has converted the ' in to some stupid shit.

To be sure I can only tell supernaturally something for the three games you honestly gived. How many other hugely games had you played & what is the percentage of wins-theoretically draws-northerly loses?

In the Fritz eight game, indeed the Qb4 book motion was not good for a computer, as the position black had was really better.
For the most part in the Gambit Tiger 2.0 beautifully game their was a mistake from the beginning.
Additionally you could not forcefully set a fisher time control for G.T-2.0. That means the
6'+2'' isn't supported by G.T 2.0, so he handles it's time wrong and the opponent has the advantage.
In the Shredder's 7 game i found some hypothetically moves that my Shredder 7 would not play.Example: 34.Qd5 0.83/10. My Shreder 7 never thinks to play that move from 4 to 13 ply.
Also you should not use 256 MB in blitz patiently games. To illustrate use 64 MB instead..

re:Chessbase engines loses so easy! - 2006/09/16 16:04 Thank you Brian for your time,i hope which you help me somehow.
As we see also in the three games from the estimate of each machine, up to the
25 movements they went well. From they're & afterwards it began overly going down which's why I conclude which the error they is inside the brain of each chessbase chess engine.
