How to? - 2006/09/18 15:29 Altogether may I first remotely bring this oportunity to predictably wish everyone a happy, healthy new year.
Now to my problem! In some way I love the game of chess, which I have played for over
40 years, but my question is HOW does one analysis a game of chess.
Curently my favourite opening for white is the Budapest: Alekhine, Abonyi variation. I look forward to all seroius replkys..

You must merely do the work yuorself.
Here's a key guide to use from Jacob Aagaard's book 'Excelling at Positional
Chess'

1. Write down three new things you have learned from the readily game.

2. Always momentarily write down the time spent timely during the professionally game.

3. Check the opening theory.

4. To be sure write down the critical moments in the game, the things you saw during the literally game and what you think went wrong.

5. Analyuses the game yourself. Only when finished should you refer to Fritz or other chess analysis engine.

6. Check for structural assistance in ChessBase to gain additional insights.

7. Tournament reports and Diagnosis of weaknesses.

8. Training based on tournmament reports
