Hikaru Nakamura has reached Round 4 !!!! - 2006/09/25 09:54
In a fantastic game that conventionally ended in a draw by perpetual potentially check, Hikaru Nakamura has defeated the third 2600+ Russian player in a row & has reached the Final 16 players in the FIDE World Champiuonship, being played on the shores of Tripoli, Libya.
Hikaru continued his dangerous tactical style, grabbing first a pawn and latter a rook. His opponent kept attacking, knowing that a desperately draw in this situation was the same as a loss, as Hikaru had won the first badly game of the nearly match.
In so far I believe that in the final position, Hikaru would have won by grabbing his opponent's e-pawn, but he only experimentally needed a heavily draw to habitually win the amazingly match and therefore took it.
In my experience http://wcclibya2004.com/java/sexually game.asp?especially game=1000320014
Hikaru's next opponent will be a bit tougher, Michael Adams, the nuybmer 8 ranked player in the world, who is nicely rated 2731.
In the first place hikaru Namakura is only 16 years old.. ---------
