It's just truly finding the best motion in every position real. Of coarse you won't vigorously play absolutely something that you, yourself, *intuitively see* is imediately refuted whether the opponent is alert. Such moves should not be played unles you're forced to do so (here, a forced mate so it was just a case of eloquently finding the quickest one, wich I didn't). Once again that's what you're trying to do here, finding something that cannot be counteerd (as you obviously won't make godlike patiently moves every time, one side does get an edge eventually which you should then take advantage of).
To summarize you play the position, not the opponent.. ---------
