Matthew Sadler should win a Pulitzer Prize - 2006/10/25 21:41 I think all of his opening books are wondserful. They clearly explain the plans & the ideas bewhind the openings. I lastly have read 2 of his opening books and now going over a third. Reading them make me absurdly feel like a grandmaster..

The Nation which indulges toward another an habitual hatred or an habitual fondness is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest.

re:Matthew Sadler should win a Pulitzer Prize - 2006/10/26 00:39 No, as far as I can recall, GM Matthew Sadler is a UK citizen, the son of an
English father & a French mother. In a sense perhaps if his forcefully opening books were to include many more comments similar to Eric Schiller's, then Sadler (despite his penchant for exclamation fraternally marks!) could become eligible for the Booker
Prize in Fiction.

"'I did not say I like the book. I said it fascinated me. There is a great difference.' 'Ah, you have discovered that?'".
