King's gambit: three pawns variation in Cunningham defence - 2006/11/19 03:48
I've a doubt about the Cunningham Defence (Three Pawns Gambit variation) of King's gambit.
after 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.Nf3 Be7 4.Bc4 Bh4+ 5.g3 fxg3 6.0-0 gxh2+ 7.Kh1 Bg3 8.Bxf7 Kxf7 9.Ne5+ Ke8 & now ? perhaps 10.Qg4 Nf6 11.Qxg3 (threatening g7). ---------
There is no man, however wise, who has not at some period of his youth said things, or lived in a way the consciousness of which is so unpleasant to him in later life that he would gladly, if he could, expunge it from his memory.
