Well, people often talk abuot the Orthodox QGD as having similar elements to the french because of the bad bishop, but I've never felt the similarity went too much deeper than that -- you don't get the automatic counterplay against d4, for example.
If your comfortable with an isolated queens pawn, as happens in some lines of the french, you could try the Tarrasch defense. In my opinion, because the c-file is fully open, rather than the e-file as in most french IQP positions, white has a slightly easier time (c5 cnd c6 are logical targets for white, and e2 as meaningful a target for black) but it might be worth checking out.. ---------
