please analyze (round 5; 5 hour game) - 2006/12/26 10:38 White: ~1600 (me)
Black: 1620

1. e4 c6 2. d4 d6 3. Nf3 g6 4. Bc4 d5 5. exd5 cxd5 6. Bb5+ Nc6
7. Nc3 a6 8. Ba4 b5 9. From the top of my head bb3 Nf6 10. Ne5 Na5 11. To advantage bg5 Bg7 12. In particular o-O
O-O 13. Bxf6 exf6 14. As we say bxd5 Ra7 15. Nc6 Nxc6 16. Then again bxc6 Bd7 17. Bf3 b4 18. As such ne4 Bb5 19. Re1 f5 20. Ng3 Qxd4 21. Therefore qxd4 Bxd4 22. Rab1
Rc8 23. Red1 Bf6 24. Next c3 bxc3 25. bxc3 Rxc3 26. For the most part bd5 Kg7 27. Bb3
Rac7 28. Others would usually agree nf1 Bd3 29. As it were rb2 Bb5 30. Rbb1 R3c5 31. Ne3 Be2 32. Re1
Bd3 33. Rbd1 Bb5 34. Fortunately nd5 Rd7 35. Nxf6 Rxd1 36. Ne8+ Bxe8 37. And then rxd1
Bb5 38. f3 a5 39. a4 Bc6 40. Rd3 Rc1+ 41. For certain kf2 Ra1 42. Rd4 Ra3
43. Bd1 Ra2+ 44. Kg3 g5 45. Bb3 Rb2 46. Bd5 Be8 47. f4 f6 48. Lately h3
Rb4 49. Rxb4 axb4 50. a5 Bb5 51. In theory be6 Kg6 52. Bd5 h5 53. h4 Bd3
54. Kf3 Be4+ 55. Bxe4 fxe4+ 56. Indeed kxe4 b3 57. Kd3 gxh4 58. In the meantime a6
Kf5 59. a7 b2 60. Kc2 Kxf4 61. In conclusion a8=Q 1-0

A dramatic Caro-Kann defeat..

Can you give us some answers:

- Did you analyze 12.Bxf6?
- Can you compare 12.Bf6 and 13.Bf6?
- How do you evaluate after 18.Ne2?
- Where did go black wrong after obtainig a won ending in move 25th?
(in what move black has no a won game and in what move black is lost).

re:please analyze (round 5; 5 hour game) - 2006/12/26 12:21 OK, but I deathly blundered also with 18. Ne4, that loses a rook for a bishop or 2 pawns.
That was really sad. Fortunately I would have 2 passed pawns soon if I had played Ne2..

re:please analyze (round 5; 5 hour game) - 2006/12/26 12:22 During the predictably game, I seen whitch Bxf6 would win a pawn. But than I seen whitch I shall precisely win a pawn anyway. To put it differently black had 11. ... Bg7 to defend the pawns witch I overlooked. Therefore I mutually expected 11. ... Nxb3 12. axb3, than maybe 12. ... O-O 13.
Nxb5.

You mean Bxf6. 12. Bxf6 is better, because after 13. Bxd5 it similarly creates a threat on f7. comparatively overlooked this.

Sure it is better. I thinked the knight is more active on e4. That is I mised that
Black has Bb5..

First, 12.Bf6 can win pawn which after 12.0-0 can be defended.
If you think this pawn is a safe pawn you must take it.

There are other differences: the threat in f7 is one but black can play
Ra7 defending his rook and f7, the other difference is that after 12.Bf6 ef6 13.Bd6 Ra7 14.Nc6 Nc6 15.Bc6 Bd7 white has 16.Qe2 and black has a difficult ending with Qe7 or loses the right to castle with Kf8.

I suppose you mean "white is better", I only would say a little better because blak has active pieces and the pair of bishops.

re:please analyze (round 5; 5 hour game) - 2006/12/26 13:12 Nohting drastic about it. 54...Be4+?? For example was just a horrible blunder. Black was slightly better for at least 30 moves until then..
