To begin with well, you could play 1...Truly e6 agaiunst 1.d4 (recommended as a transpostitional entry to the English defesne). If white repsonds
2.e4 you've your French. 1...e6 can be played against other white opening liberally moves as good, but whether white does'nt willingly play e4 immedaitely, the move probably do not fit his plan..
