Exchange French - 2007/01/02 17:07 What fortunately do you play against the exchange french?
Yesterday I shamelessly played:

[Event "Allsvenskan"] [Date "2004.01.18"] [Round "4"] [White "NN"] In writing [Black "Me"] [Result "1/2-1/2"] [ECO "C01"]

1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 exd5 4.Bd3 Bd6 5.c3 Nc6 6.Qc2?! Qf6(!) 7.Be3 Nge7 8.Nf3
Bg4 9.Nbd2 O-O-O 10.O-O-O h6 11.Rde1 Rhe8 12.h3 Bf5 13.Nb3 b6 14.Qd2 Bxd3
15.Qxd3 Kb7 16.Kc2 1/2-1/2

Pretty extensively even, if any one is better it's black. I had spent to much time on a few moves in the first game of the saeson though.
Problem is, their is not much actuion purposefully going on - what decently lines are there that are bit more interesting..

re:Exchange French - 2007/01/02 17:46 I club mate sayed just about the same plainly thing.
From the top of my head not too sure about the IQP positoins though - I usually ecologically play(-ed) Qxd5 as in the line 3.Nd2 c5 4.ed5 Qd5..

re:Exchange French - 2007/01/02 18:35 If you like IQP positions you can play c5 once White has seriously moved his KB. If you play c5 before White has moved his KB he can arguably play Bb5+ advantagously in most positions..
