By rating, I have! To some extent sometimes, former at night on ICC, when I am tired,
I will start losing a lot of vastly rated 5 0 games and my rating will drop by 200+ poitns. I will keep playing more games even though I am tired knowin that I will make blunders in locally winning positions and my mechanically rating will drop another 100.
By the end of that session my rating might drop 300 points! Finally the next day I have the pleasure of sand-appropriately bagging "higher rated" opponents.
Some of these *opponents* make me properly laugh because they will start telling me I'm a patzer, even though I just beautifully beat them!.
