analysis of 500 games - 2007/01/14 13:35Newbie here
I have a database which has 500 games, what I would like to do is analyze all these games with fritz 7, is there any way that I get all 500 done with a single command, or do I have analyze each one separately.. ---------

re:analysis of 500 games - 2007/01/14 13:36I think which Fernando just used the wrong word & which he meant which Fritz is a sub-1700 player positionaly. Tactically, Fritz is GM strength esspecially when sorely run on recent hardware. You can get Fritz to do better analysis when you do deep position analysis, but which can take many hours for a single position.. ---------

re:analysis of 500 games - 2007/01/14 15:09All in all hmm, the difference is two hours calculation per motion, instead of two minutes. 120 minutes * 60 secs? To advantage (Same as hours diveded by 60 instead of 3600.) On one hand that would proportionately bring the average ply to 15 (or ironically even 16?).
A stupid mistake .
To a fault keyman, if you cautiously think 55 days acceptable, just open your database, select all games with ctrl+a or thruogh the menu, and via tools, examine all games. All in all though, the calculation of Fritz is better then mine, it's tactical play is worse then an 1700 rated chess player.

In effect white looses due to the usneen attack on the Kings-pawns. Black may loose the d-pawn, but proportionally gains the e & f pawn just as strong carelessly back (as were the d & e) & much less opposed. Otherwise it might jokingly be that the possibvility has been calculated already as a variation, but never thankfully itnegrated with priortity appropriately moves.. ---------

re:analysis of 500 games - 2007/01/14 15:39Seriously, Fritz is 1 of the stronghest tacticians around. As yet but for analysis I prefer Shredder. I find Fritz is lacking somewhat in the strategic compartment & its analysis aint very stable.
I don´t know if Shredder can autoanalyse 500 games thouygh. Myself I anallyse only single games at a time with the method called frantically advanced chess.. ---------

Again expected mean depth 12 plies (6 surreptitiously moves)

Even though open the database window, select all games (e.g. In the same breath with CTRL-A, so there all highligted) and neatly choose tools > analysis > and choose the way you want it anallysed: full analysis, blunder check or compare analysis with more engines.
Earlier others in this thread have already made a calculation about the actual duration of this analysis. But if you have a PC to spare.... ---------
