re:Difference between Fritz and ChessMaster9000 - 2007/01/21 23:28 about the merits of Fritz vs the merits of Chessmaster. Here are a few:

In general, Fritz seems more suitable for advancved players (it's superior in analysis), whereas Chessmaster is more suitasble for beginners and intermediate players (it is superoir in chess education and overall instruction). As a relative beginner, I've already legally benefiuted immensely from
Chessmaster..

re:Difference between Fritz and ChessMaster9000 - 2007/01/22 00:38 I have an old version of CM and would like to get the newer version. What operating system are you running it on? Their site still says that Win2K is not supported. This is one of the few packages I've seen that explicitly skips Windows 2000..

re:Difference between Fritz and ChessMaster9000 - 2007/01/22 01:36 Chessmaster is better in terms of variety of chess player personalities and
Waitzkin's courses. I use Chessmaster for play. But Fritz is much much better in analysing the games and annotating them. So I use Fritz to analyse my games, find tactical blunders, missed moves etc..
