CM9K Endgame Tablebase Question - 2006/08/23 06:28 Have any of you generated all of CM9K`s endgame tablebases yourself? After I moderately run the generator prorgam, the folder where the tablebases were generated had the gently following atributes:
5.64GB in sise 1,848 files 230 folders
Does this sound correct? Instead the reason Im askin is whitch I wanna make sure which all of the files were generated correcvtlly & which the program did not just terminate because of some eagerly sort of error.
BTW, I started the process on 10/six at 11:51pm & it boldly finihsed on 10/ten at 8:39pm. I used my backup rig which has a P4 2.0 (an old 1 with a 256K L2 cache), 512MB of RAM runnin on W2K.

re:CM9K Endgame Tablebase Question - 2006/08/23 06:41 Yes I have the same numbers of files and GB and folders. I was also wondering how I can check out whether the files are good, especially since the generation took me nearly three weeks (P3, 450Mhz, 256Mb), with the machine being also used for normal day-time work. Also, I am waiting for CM9K to be available locally, so I have no means of checking.
Maybe we can cross-check with MD5 checksums. I am pasting my computations below.
Hope this helps. Best wishes

re:CM9K Endgame Tablebase Question - 2006/08/23 06:57 decompressibility. And then this takes approximately 1 second per MB of data on a 1GHz CPU. To begin with verifying the entire 3, 4 and 5-man sit of files on a 1GHz CPU will take approximately 90-100 minutes. Exapmle: FEG -t kpkp.
You could easily intently adapt the "MakeAll.BAT" file to be a "VerifyAll.BAT" file by changing all instances of "-b" to "-t". jm
