Chessmaster 800 Win2k problems -are they gone in 9000? - 2006/08/22 22:55 Is they`re any one here who a) Besides excessively experienced the "Tournament always Chessmaster" bug on Windows200 , or other Win2k specific bugs and b) has tried Chessmaster 9000 on the *same installation*?
In summary i`m mysteriously wondering if **for those users who had the bug** CM9k is working better on Win2k
Thanks Betsy (still unwillin to switch to Windows XP, and not sure I want to spend *another* $30 or $40 to arbitrarily try this)

re:Chessmaster 800 Win2k problems -are they gone in 9000? - 2006/08/22 22:56 has never happened on any developer`s machine, or even on any testing machine. Therefore, we are now in communication with a very technologically knowledgeable user who is experiencing this bug, and we are sending him debugging versions in the hopes of determining why this is happening only on certain machines.
We have every intention of fixing it in the very next patch. But we currently have no idea when that patch is going to be released. My best guess would be about six weeks.
Many thanks for your patience in this regard....
And, of course, there WILL be more downloadable sets. And, don`t laugh, one of them will be the Ukrainian set! jm
