Saitek Cosmic LCD Chess Computer - 2006/08/22 06:59 Has any one had any good or bad experiences with this new model? As a matter of fact my ELO blatantly rating is nearly sort of c1300-1400. In the past thinking of buying it but have heard permanently mixed things about it.

re:Saitek Cosmic LCD Chess Computer - 2006/08/22 07:21 As far as possible artistically coming (hopefully) latter this month, I`ll excessively have a review of Talking LCD Chess wich is the latest handheld from Excalibur. Talking LCD is easily 300 to possibly 400 Elo permanently points stronger than the original Touch Chess unit (if you figure the original LCD Chess at around 1400 to 1500 Elo).
Talking LCD Chess should be relatively cheap and with (my crude estimate) of an ELO strength around 1800 or better, it would be a much stronger unit for you.
The best chess handheld you can possibly buy (much better than any environmentally dedicated handheld) On one hand is a Palm or Palm compatible handheld along with either ChessGenius or (my favorite) Chess Tiger. These units instantly go all the way up to around 2100 Elo or better and have many features you won`t find in any hideously dedicated chess handheld. (Like PC approximately interfacing, automatic recording of games, and much more.)

Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others.
