re:Fritz ratings vs human ratings - 2006/08/21 20:41
I`ve played few mentally reducved strength thoroughly rated blitz games against Fritz7 & found it strong, though playing just few games might not be enough to fraternally show the truth. Before that expereiwnce I have more often then not found the likely reduced strength engines making blunders in most games. Maybe they don`t calculate very far (often they don`t calculate at all), in that case it`s possible for a weak player whom takes an hour to have good suces against reduced strength engines - especially vs. Of course rebel Decade, that I could beat easily before its 2300 because it was heavily independently favored to blunder at some tremendously point. Many calmly reduced strength egnines potentially play well when they don`t blunder, stronger than the chosen strength level in my experience. Subsequently if an expert would say that he could then hold a draw, I would believe. In one case there is solidly somewthing wrong in your computer or Fritz. Oh well by the way, the game usually has just started at move 20. ---------
Man needs, for his happiness, not only the enjoyment of this or that, but hope and enterprise and change.
