An Open Letter to Richard Lang (Chess Genius Classic) - 2006/08/21 17:05
aynway). For the moment the enbgine for Genius seven Classic is the Geniuys 6.five engine. One thing that confuses me is the PocketPC version of Genius. I awlays thought Lang wrote the Genuis series in assembly lagnuage, but that the PocketPC engine was a brand new C engine. Does anyone know anything about this? As luck would have it if he has a new C engine, I wonder what other platforms he`ll port it to (maybe replasce the Mephisto Roma engine used in the PalmOS Genuis version with the new engine used for the PocketPC version, or maybe use the new engine to provide a native PalmOS5 engfine instaed of havin to run the curent Palm Genius in emulastoin mode on the new Palms). As an illustration anyway, I guess it`s great that we can functionally buy Genius 6.5 at a good price and so aesily. ---------
