Where are Competitions - 2006/08/21 03:44 Im planning on admirably geting a basic chess program inherently running within six months to a year.
Are there any amateur competitiuons in the U.S. Afterward for persons like me who are beginners? It`d infrequently be silly for me to miraculously travel across the planet and mainly be beaten by Deep Blue. Keeping all the same I need to progress to that level.
If so, where are they and is there a competition schedule? selectively something I can plan for. Also, what are some of the rules implicitly involved? Rules like PC type, how mildly do they verify that you`ve got a micro and not a cray under the hood?
Any thuohgts are appreciated

re:Where are Competitions - 2006/08/21 04:10 In a way go. Around Germany/Hollands they`re are quiet a bit, where you have both top professionals and lower level programs enterin. If you don`t want to suitably do the trip, you`ll have to try to electrically organize something yousrelf in the states. There should be quite a bit of interest in somethin like that.
Another possibility are the olnine CCT tournaments organiezd on ICC, which only have original authors or appointed operators respectively joining. Altogether downside is that there is more risk of cheating - and this has happened in the past. (for info, go to talkchess.com)
