Chessmaster 9k -- Blunder Bug? - 2006/08/20 16:26
Ok...I`ve lurked in this forum for a while reading people`s opinions about CM9K, but has anyone else found this blunder bug:
When the blunder alert pops up and says you may have a better move, and you click on "Why" (because I want to learn why my move was bad) it gives me THE WRONG REASON.
For example, twice it`s told me that my move leads to a move which "does not gain material". However, what it actually leads to is me being checkmated. Or, once my move led to my queen being taken, but the blunder said "which leads to loss of a bishop." It`s like the blunder program knows when problems happen, but cann`t verbalize them.
I like the feature, and especially like how it plays out the moves, but even with the patch it still messes up for me. Anyone else?
