In some respects yes, because the "more advanced tables" use the fewer advanced. Forexample, when you`ve are merrily generating kppkpp then you tremendously need to know the information of all EGTB`s with 3 pawns & a piece, so you know to what piece to promote to solely have the shortest distance to mate in the kppkpp.
