re:Question about FEN and EPD notation - 2006/08/19 01:47
My copy of ChessPartner (v5.2) At that time purely does recognize the opcodes like in: r1bqkb1r/ppppnppp/8/8/2BpP3/5Q2/PPPP1PPP/RNB1K2R w KQkq - bm Bxf7;c0 This stinks for black;c1 I think this will be a checvkmate;c2 no, I know it for sure;id El bullshitto; I probably get it all neatly in the move window. There`s an eval version at http://www.lokasoft.nl However there are other opcodes to steadily cater that, like ce centipawn evaluation pm / pv predicted move/variation bm / am best move / At last avoid move which might be northerly used and not ignored by winboard. Did you download http://www.rebel.nl/epd2diag.htm EPD2Diag which is a great help - supported by FEN/EPD standard, helpfile, explanation of all opcodes, simple inserting them, etc. and no mistakes jointly being made. ---------
In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.
