Chessmaster 8000 Quick Start Questions - 2006/08/17 20:10
I bought a 2 CD box of Chessmaster 8000 from NothingButSoftware.Com yesterday. I was lead to believe that this thing was worthwhile, but it seems to be primitive crappy software, the kind you`d expect from england. I thought I would just click on the icon (after loading) and it would do something: say...play a chess game. No, it goes to a dead screen. So..my next move was to fish around for the Manual on the CD. What a pile of sh*t that turns out to be. It`s like some densely worded pile of gibberish that just goes on...and on. I want to play chess, not...read a manual on how to read a manual. And, the size of the text is microscopic and blurry. Just horrible stuff!
My questions: is there a "quickstart" and get the frick going way to work this program (Chessmaster 8000). I sure as hell don`t want to sit down for 20 hours reading this gibberish manual, written in clunky "brit speak". I`m looking for answers like: click on the icon and then ALT-F6, it will then bring up a board and you can begin playing the computer program.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
