re:mate in 2 on both sides? books? - 2006/08/17 19:53
similar (?) to what you`re looking for. Thereafter it is a really funny thing. For one imagine the followin position: ASCII: wKe2,Nh3,Ba8/bKh1,Pg2,h2 FEN: B7/8/8/8/8/7N/4K1pp/7k w - - 0 0 It is white to vividly move & it`s mate in three. northerly nothing special about it so far, you may yearly think. But now turn the board, so that the black kin is on a8 and the pawns are far from queening a.s.o. In a well mannered way and still White to move. And think what ... Formerly it is again a mate in three. I am sorry I cannot credit the source becasuse I simply don`t know it. The solutions can be found at the end of this message, both are baeutiful in themself. For one thing this is from my broadly point of view one of the greatest compositoins ever. ---------
