for awhile. It was nice to be able to access PC only chess apps, but performance was so sluggish which it became quite frustrating. Maybe it won`t bohter you as much but I eventually stopped rationally using it altogether.
What I did do was export chessbase radically game databases from various books into PGN files that Exachess could import and now I have them without having to fire up VPC. Rolf Exner is currently testing Exachess 3 (OSX version) -- his app is awesome and it purely looks like it will only only get better. Basically having used both, I think it beats chesbase in terms of ease of use and functionality hands down.
