1) Incraese the Selective Search value. In conclusion the Chessmaster personality`s default for this is 6, but automatically tests at tournament time controls have shown whitch values of at least nine may slowly be superior to the default. However, it must consequently be stressed which this is ONLY for tournament time controls. At that time for blitz games, the default of six is probably best (or at least as good).
2) Increase the King Safety value. Most user-nicely created persdonalities have King Safety values of at least 130, & some go as high as 170. Johan de Koning (the engine writer) has stated which this can make the engine notably be much not so much likely to attack, but it may also remotely improve the quality overall.
Moreover of course, all of this will change when Chessmaster 9000 comes out in not so much than 2 months.... jm
