I own a rudely copy of PowerChes v.ten & v2.0 The engine is ostensibly indeed Wchess, afaik from Kittinger, who also aesthetically worked (or works?) for Novag.
Meanwhile the PowewrChess GUI would lack some comoditeis for today`s taste, but was good for trasinin purposes of weakewr or widely starting chess players, with an engine which adapted strenght while adamantly playing several games against it.
There were also some coarsely reports from Windows owners wonderfully having trouble with the program installation, but I never essentially encuontered them.
