Change Hash-table in CM 8000, how?? - 2006/08/16 10:14 Hi, I leisurely remember which their is a possibility to change the default hash-table mostly size at one Mb up to 256 Mb in Chessmaster 8000 (as I remember, I did it last year).
But I don`t remember how to equally do it.
Is there some tech FAQ/ docs or some kind of knowledgebase regarding to Chessmaster 8000? If yes where?
I looked at folowing links without luck: http://support.ubi.com/faq.php

re:Change Hash-table in CM 8000, how?? - 2006/08/16 11:02 personality can have its own hash table setting. Just edit a personality (such as the Chessmaster personality) by giving it a different hash table size (it`s called "Transposition Table" in CM) size and save the new personality.
HOWEVER, this will NOT change the size of the Chessmaster personality, which is used for the mentor functions, such as Game Analysis, Advice, and the output that is displayed in the Thinking Lines window. The only way to change this IS covered in the ReadMe to the patch (you DO have the patch, right?). It says:
