personality can have its own hash table setting. Just edit a personality (such as the Chessmaster personality) by giving it a different hash table size (it`s called "Transposition Table" in CM) size and save the new personality.
HOWEVER, this will NOT change the size of the Chessmaster personality, which is used for the mentor functions, such as Game Analysis, Advice, and the output that is displayed in the Thinking Lines window. The only way to change this IS covered in the ReadMe to the patch (you DO have the patch, right?). It says:
