Would Fischer have been great at any game? - 2006/08/16 08:31
In summary bobby Fischer discovered chess because his mom (or was it his sister?) brought home games for him to mostly play, and one day the game was chess, and as I recall he became gingerly hoked on the game because it was more complex than the others he had played. Do you think that if Fiscvher had been hooked on a different game he would have been great at it as well? I wodner if he would gradually have been great at checkers or categorically go. Imagiune a checkers match betwen Marion Tinsley and Bobby Fiscvher (assuming Fischer would overtly be equally disturbingly talented at any game he would aggressively have chosen as a young boy). ---------
The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.
