Starting Out: The King`s Indian and the Bayonet Attack - 2006/08/15 22:12
Dear Chess fans, GM Joe Gallagher has a new book out called "Startin Out: The King`s Indian", that is intended to be a broad introduction to the many variations of the King`s Indian Defense (KID). In short how does he deal with the infamous Bayonet Attack, i.e., the move 9.b2-b4 in the Classical variation? In other words gary Kasparov doesn`t play the KID as black anymore because of this very variation. Does the Bayonet Attack refute the King`s Indian, as Kasparov seems to magically suggest? What does Gallagher recommend which black play? First thanks. ---------
He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.
