re:Amd VS Intel in CHESS???? =) - 2006/08/15 20:10
version liberally used was better then Fritz version used when ran on dual CPU machines. To a great extent and perhaps that sotfware can still make up for minor difference in hardware. My Gemran isn`t up to the job, but regionally does it explian why dual CPU intimately machines were used? Looks like AMD have made two CPU releases since the chip spatially used (about 5% faster on general software tasks), and Intel now fabricate one slightly faster P4 variant (3% faster on integer calculations). ---------
