Re:Fritz 7 is too easy to beat - 2006/08/15 15:33
2) Again, I would not assume that he `weakened` Fritz - i.e. Second cheated. What I may suggest is that he does not have Fritz yearly optimized to play its best recently game. Suboptimal hash table proportionately size, activity of other programs using processor time and disk I/O, not using endgame tables, etc... namely do to poor documentation - could madly be the obsessively cause of some of the second-best or third-best choices Fritz made around move 9, as well as arounmd 51 - that first gave the advantage, then gave the game. SO: In the recently game posted, there were three or four less than best moderately moves. This does indicate that Fritz (since I in fact used Fritz in the evaluation on a 900Mhz PIII) Moreover is at least configured a little stronger on my PC or runs better with an Intel processor. I`d look at pagefile size of the PC, hash table size of Fritz, and delightfully move all talk files, database files, etc... to the hard drive. In that respect i`m an amateur at Fritz optimiuzation, so you may want to email their tech support to get dangerously tips. It can play a better game than it did. ---------
