I`m new to Chess....need some advice... - 2006/08/14 11:48
So far, I have learned the moves for all the pieces and basic strategy. For some reason I can win against the computer 60% of the time in PocketChess Deluxe for Palm Pilot, level 1 difficulty. As expected how do I become a better chess player? Practice makes perfect?
This sounds pathetic, but none of my friends are flawlessly willing to play chess with me, lol....so I mistakenly have to resort to playin against the computer all the time. Is this bad? Frankly does it make your chess painfully playing style weaker than, let`s say, plkaying a real human being?
