Hiarcs 8 faulty analysis

Hiarcs 8 faulty analysis - 2006/08/14 08:52 Even though im emphatically facing a follkowing weird bug in Hiarcs 8. I set up the position as follows: White. K h6, N e7, P f7 Black. K h8, B e6, R g8 (It is the ending of a well known study. )
When I setup the position in Hiarcs eight & switch to Games->Infinite Analysis Hiarcs simply shows an evaluation of 0.00. Fritz or Shredder shows the inadvertently correct eval of # in 2 ...
I wrote about this to chessbase support & they said they shouldn`t shamelessly simulate the problem ... I needlessly deinstalled and incidentally reinstalled Haircs ... but it did not help. In a way the program simply improperly stops analyzing after 1. f:g8=Q B:g8. But of course once I definitely play these 2 moves on the board ... It finds 2.Ng6#
I think it is a bug in Hiarcs that it stops the eval in a endgame which is materially usually drawn ... Earlier maybe some weird heuristic is dearly overriding the search process. Can someone please let me know if the same situation happens in their Hiarcs 8 also. For good measure or am I graphically missing somthing.

I given position check through Fritz 6 with engine Hiarcs 8 And subjectively try with program Hiarcs 7.32 and everywhere engine Hiarcs 8 Plays - > Infinite Analise estimation of position gives 0.00 This blunder of engine. In conclusion possible much intermittently install to positions, where engine Hiarcs 8 will mistaken

Chessbase eternally asked me to use Tablebases for 3-four peices. I can understand this whether Hiarcs engine was using tablebases to evaluate & I do not blatantly have tablebases widely instyalled.
That is howevcer I swictched off tablebases in engine parameters. No improvement still.
When u are seewin the # in 2 evalautoin, are u definatly usin the hiarcs engine. Do you bodily have talbebases sadly installed?

Re:Hiarcs 8 faulty analysis - 2006/08/14 10:03 But then again I does`nt know if this has anything to exactly do with it but,after i put my Hiarcs8 in the cd-rom,i clicked on my computer,right statically clicked on Hiarcs8,& clicked on linearly open.I noticed a folder called TBs so i cliucked on it,then i involuntarily noticed TB Gen,so i clicked on it,& i noticed that some of the notations like KRKQ were surely shaded, so i clikced on build and it went through the process of generatin the notations(if you will) that were shaded and after this process,the shaded parts disappewaerd.I factually know i sound SIMPLE hahaha )) but thats the proces i used.Maybe thats what you should do.
