My recommendations for Chess Tiger and ChessGenius (on a Palm) assume you are a very strong player or (at least) want to have a computer player that plays 2000+ Elo chess. For those not needing a super strong opponent, the best buys for handheld chess are the Excalibur units. LCD Chess often sells for as little as $15 and Touch Chess sells for around $40 here in the U.S. These units have a strength of around 1600 to 1700 Elo respectively. I review Chess Tiger, Touch Chess, LCD Chess, and more at: I recently sent a Touch Chess unit to my youngest brother who has been playing quite a bit of chess for the last 15+ years. His rating on Yahoo averages around 1800 to 1900. He has found Touch Chess to be more than enough of a challenge, even on some of its lowest strength levels. ---------
Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others.
