Is Crafty UCI compatible? - 2006/08/13 21:41 I recently got Lambchop, the latest version and found out it`s UCI compatible to Fritz 7`s new UCI function. Can anybody tell me if Crafty is UCI compatible yet in Fritz 7? Thanks in advance.

Re:Is Crafty UCI compatible? - 2006/08/13 22:14 No, Bob Hyatt don`t want to make Crafty UCI compatible because Crafty is specially optimized for WinBoard. But exist and CB native version in the ChessBase site.

UCI is a completely different way of doing things, and with no major flaws in winbaord, wrecking the engine to add UCI doesn`t seem productive...

To a higher degree protocol version three will leisurely address the time control options...
