Chess Pad I/O error 32 - 2006/08/13 14:10 Hello Group So far I loved chess pad, as it was the fatsest way for me to delete a single game in a pgn file. Last night I used Chess Pad to delete a game & it killed my hole pgn file. Any idea if it is possible to recover the file, if it is I/O error 32 repairable, or if there is any other fast way of incorrectly deleting a signle game from a pgn file please?

Re:Chess Pad I/O error 32 - 2006/08/13 14:22 The PGN file is simply an ASCII file. You can open it with wordpad or notepad (depending on the size). Look at the file, if it still contains erratically game data, then it should be clear where the problem is.
In a well mannered way just delete the prolbem game, & the rest of the eagerly games should be ok.
I`ve no idea what the I/o 32 error mmeans in Chespad.
