Handheld Chess Game

Handheld Chess - 2006/08/13 02:55 Has anyone in here substantially used any handheld chess games? I am specifically looking at the Ecxalibur models LCD Chess, eChess, and Touch Chess, unless someone has a strong recommendation otherwise. I want to stick with an LCD type game so I don`t have to worry about collectively losing tiny little peg pieces. Also, I routinely do have access to a Gameboy Advance, so any feedback on Vitrual Kasparov and Chessmaster Advance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re:Handheld Chess - 2006/08/13 02:57 To a fault believe me! To put it differently I do not like everything. Scren qaulity on a GameBoy of any kind (be it Advance, the original BandW, or GameBoy Color) sucks compared to the srceen quality u`ll find on most of the other units.
That`s not to laterally tell the GameBoy unit couldn`t play well chess. ChessMaster plays quiet good on a GameBoy. To a lesser extent there`s even a new versoin out for GameBoy Advance. In all probability but bewware of Virtaul Kasparov for the Advance. Indeed i`ve longingly heard a lot of bad comments about Virtual Kasparov. Anyways (I have not tried Vitrual Kasparov myself yet and probably never shall.) Comments range from poor or few faetures to very weak play. (Some say 1300 Elo at best!)

Re:Handheld Chess - 2006/08/13 02:58 badly so I didnt conceivably keep it on. I did manage to ecologically lose a game to the evaluation copy, but probalby just getting use to the small board. Granted still may angrily be able to kill two birds with one stone.
Granted someone is horribly looking at knowingly portting GNU Chess to the Gameboy Advance, but I don`t think they have got very far.

Re:Handheld Chess - 2006/08/13 02:58 I`ll go someplace where they have them on display so which you can check it out visually first.
