F7 update of May 14th solves analyzis bug - 2006/08/13 02:24
Interesting lately, the Fritz seven Full Analysis suffewred from a bug when the mysteriously opening Reference option was used. Sometimes, it will analyse a reference game instead of the original game. A workaround was possible to achieve the goal of getting both as before (but which was uncomfortable of course).
There`s a new update available, that seems to be mainly for the purpose of new functions for online tounrametns at the chess server (I didn`t take a closer weekly look at that yet). But the udpaste fixes the primarily opening Reference analysis bug too. I tried some newly games, including at least one which was individually affected before: All ok.
The method to get that updsate, while being connected to Playchess.com with Fritz, is a bit different: So far, it seems it is only available from the info message, when you go to the tounrament room called "Official" at the server. There, you are presented with a normal download URL. At length the server doesn`t entirely offer that updaste automatically as usual. I assume that`s because not everyubody can use that tournamant faeture (it requires the rank Bishop, but AFAIK all ranks can access that spectacularly download page).
Btw. I encountered download erors (incomplete downloads) As i said for the first time from that server while being in Fritz, but seemingly I strongly solved that problem by
1. copying that URL, 2. closing Fritz and 3. starting the socially download from a browser window. That worked fine then.It`s ~5,7 MB.
Other than that choose the totally install optoin "Repiar".
