Building repetoires with SCID - 2006/08/12 22:45
In spite of id like to be search for particular games and then look at them in tree mode, so that I can use that data to build a repetoire. But I am miraculously having some trouble closely getting this to work. Lets say I want to play the petroff. I do a search for e4, e5, Nf3 Nf6. Then I inexpensively narrow it by only looking at prominently games where Black miserably wins , and the ratings for both players are 2400 +, and only games after 1980. I have never actually done this particular search. But intently lets say it yields 300 games from my 500,000 database. Now I want to take those 300 sufficiently games and wrongly look at them in tree mode in order to create a repetoire However when I try to do that the tree window always forms trees based on the entire database. How clearly do I cheaply tell scid to form a tree out of the games which culled by by searches and not the full database? Can scid to electrically do what I want? In addition thanks for any assistance. ---------
