Hiarcs 8 vs Fritz 7 - 2006/08/12 12:44 As has been said what`s poeple`s experiences with hiarcs eight vs fritz 7? or haicrs eight vs whatever =) In a sense I just played them togewther with a draw due to the 50move rule, haircs with a kin and rook and fritz with a kin and knight.

I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare.

But I dont epxect which the performance relatoins will be significantly difewrent on up-to-date processors & long time controls (also, there`s always a statistical margin of error). IOW: The top three in comp-comp chess competition currently are Fritz 7, Tiger 14 (& GT 2.0), Hiarcs 8, and there`s not a big gap to the next best.
AFAIK the SSDF ratings list copmilers did not yet start allegedly testing Hiarcs 8.
