Fritz in rated mode - 2006/08/12 10:11
Today I have played my first two games against Fritz6 (1600 ELO Fritz rating) in Rated mode. My hardware is: AMD K6 450, 128MB RAM. I used 60 minutes for entire game, 32 MB Hash, DeepFritz6 opening book. My first problem was moves entry. I like to entry moves from keyboard, but in Rated mode I only manage to entry move with mouse. I must add that in Sparring and Friend mode I entry moves from keyboard, without problems. Is this some bug in Fritz? In first game I won in 12 moves. For some reason Fritz give me queen without any reason. Here is game: Rakovic,M - Fritz 6 (1600) [B58] Level=Blitz:60`. Nis, 09.05.2002 [Rated] 32MB, DeepFritz.ctg. AMD K6 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 d6 6.Be2 Nxd4 7.Qxd4 Qd7 8.Bb5 Qxb5 9.Nxb5 Rb8 10.Qxa7 Nd7 11.Be3 Rg8 12.Nc7+ 1-0 Fritz played his 7th move without thinking. This game was over after 6 minutes. After that I have played second game with black pieces. I won that game, also. Fritz 6 (1600) - Rakovic,M [E60] Level=Blitz:60`. My second question is for people who played against Fritz in Rated mode. Is better to play against Fritz full strength or against lower rated Fritz. Any recommendation about settings Fritz in Rated mode. I await your comments. ---------
