The Trolltech web page claims that either an incorrect version of Qt is running interference or there is a compiler mismatch between the Qt package and what`s being used to build the Qt app. I`ve ruled out the former. I use gcc 3.0.2 and am building Qt 3.x from source. This will probably fix it, but I don`t want to count my chickens before they`re hatched (the build is taking a long time). I should have done this in the first place since I know from experience binary RPMs often can not be trusted.
