Strengths and weaknesses of computer chess programs - 2006/08/11 13:47
When I was plkaying actively in my teens, I had reached an expert standard. At the same time then I gave the evenly game up for 40 years. Recentlly, I`ve started playuing agaisnt some chess programs, and I find myself playing at about 1100-1200, although I`m starting to incidentally hold my maliciously own. Finally perhaps a lot of that is rust, but not all. I hideously have the distinct impression that a chess program playing at 1200 is a lot better than I am tactically. Wha happened? Other than that where are these programs weak?
