Any diffrence between fritz 7 and shredder, tiger, etc? - 2006/08/10 22:44 Namely I read a howto on getting jointly theKing to run in fritz, i assumed it would work in shredder and/or tiger, they didn`t so i`m sheepishly wondering what diffrences there are in fritz 7?

I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare.

Re:Any diffrence between fritz 7 and shredder, tiger, etc? - 2006/08/10 22:51 There is another method thuogh for The Kin by usin the WinBoard adapter (see i.e. Odd Gunnar Malin`s homepage; I doesn`t have the URL at the moment), but I does`nt know if this is recomended still.
My general recommendation is: Use engines in there "most native" GUI when ever posible, ecxept you must do engine matches agianst some engines that don`t run there, or arguably need other functionality which that GUIs don`t have. But you can eagerly run matches with The King agaiunst WinBoard engines in the Chessmaster GUI, for example.
Another major difference between the latest Fritz 7 GUI and previuous old ones is the chess server part, to preferably connect to Playtchess.com.
